Ex-Rail - Application for Registration Submitted
Ex-Rail Pro-tem secretary Haji Jabar together with his sidekick Haji Rahmat have prepared all the necessary documents for registering the association. In fact, the application which was submitted earlier and rejected by the Registrar due to technical error, has been re-submitted. So we are now waiting for the official approval, insyaAllah.
Thanks to both Jabar and Rahmat.
Meantime, I met with KTMB's MD Sdr. Abdul Radzak recently during PERKAP's gathering which he officiated. As expected he gave full support towards forming the association and suggested that we laise with Haji Mokhti, Head of HR, on our needs.
Together with Dato' Mohd Zin, this matter was discussed in detail with Haji Mokhti the next day. We also discussed on the various collaboration and assistance that the association could assist KTMB.

Malcolm X on House Negroes.
(Excerp from Malcolm X)
First, what is a revolution?
Sometimes I’m inclined to believe that many of our people are using this word “revolution” loosely, without taking careful consideration what this word actually means, and what its historic characteristics are. When you study the historic nature of revolutions, the motive of a revolution, the objective of a revolution, and the result of a revolution, and the methods used in a revolution, you may change words. You may devise another program. You may change your goal and you may change your mind.
A revolution is bloody. Revolution is hostile. Revolution knows no compromise. Revolution overturns and destroys everything that gets in its way. And you, sitting around here like a knot on the wall, saying, “I’m going to love these folks no matter how much they hate me.”
No, you need a revolution.
Whoever heard of a revolution where they lock arms, as Reverend Cleage was pointing out beautifully, singing “We Shall Overcome”?
Just tell me.
You don’t do that in a revolution.
You don’t do any singing; you’re too busy swinging.
To understand this, you have to go back to what young brother here referred to as the house Negro and the field Negro — back during slavery.
There was two kinds of slaves.
There was the house Negro and the field Negro.
The house Negroes - they lived in the house with master, they dressed pretty good, they ate good ‘cause they ate his food — what he left.
They lived in the attic or the basement, but still they lived near the master; and they loved their master more than the master loved himself.
They would give their life to save the master’s house quicker than the master would.
The house Negro, if the master said, “We got a good house here,” the house Negro would say, “Yeah, we got a good house here.”
Whenever the master said “we,” he said “we.”
That’s how you can tell a house Negro.
If the master’s house caught on fire, the house Negro would fight harder to put the blaze out than the master would.
If the master got sick, the house Negro would say, “What’s the matter, boss, we sick?” We sick! He identified himself with his master more than his master identified with himself.
And if you came to the house Negro and said, “Let’s run away, let’s escape, let’s separate,” the house Negro would look at you and say, “Man, you crazy. What you mean, separate? Where is there a better house than this? Where can I wear better clothes than this? Where can I eat better food than this?”
That was that house Negro. In those days he was called a “house nigger.”
And that’s what we call him today, because we’ve still got some house niggers running around here.
This modern house Negro loves his master.
On that same plantation, there was the field Negro.
The field Negro — those were the masses. There were always more Negroes in the field than there was Negroes in the house. The Negro in the field caught hell.
He ate leftovers.
In the house they ate high up on the hog. The Negro in the field didn’t get nothing but what was left of the insides of the hog. They call ‘em “chitt’lin’” nowadays. In those days they called them what they were: guts. That’s what you were — a gut-eater. And some of you all still gut-eaters.
The field Negro was beaten from morning to night. He lived in a shack, in a hut; He wore old, castoff clothes.
He hated his master. I say he hated his master. He was intelligent.
That house Negro loved his master. But that field Negro — remember, they were in the majority, and they hated the master.
When the house caught on fire, he didn’t try and put it out; that field Negro prayed for a wind, for a breeze.
When the master got sick, the field Negro prayed that he’d die. If someone come to the field Negro and said, “Let’s separate, let’s run,” he didn’t say “Where we going?” He’d say, “Any place is better than here.”
You’ve got field Negroes in America today. I’m a field Negro. The masses are the field Negroes.
When they see this man’s house on fire, you don’t hear these little Negroes talking about “our government is in trouble.”
They say, “The government is in trouble.” Imagine a Negro: “Our government”!
Just as the slavemaster of that day used Tom, the house Negro, to keep the field Negroes in check, the same old slavemaster today has Negroes who are nothing but modern Uncle Toms, 20th century Uncle Toms, to keep you and me in check, keep us under control, keep us passive and peaceful and nonviolent.
That’s Tom making you nonviolent. It’s like when you go to the dentist, and the man’s going to take your tooth. You’re going to fight him when he starts pulling. So he squirts some stuff in your jaw called novocaine, to make you think they’re not doing anything to you. So you sit there and ‘cause you’ve got all of that novocaine in your jaw, you suffer peacefully. Blood running all down your jaw, and you don’t know what’s happening. ‘Cause someone has taught you to suffer — peacefully.
There’s nothing in our book, the Quran — you call it “Ko-ran” — that teaches us to suffer peacefully.
Our religion teaches us to be intelligent. Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery.
That’s a good religion. In fact, that’s that old-time religion.
That’s the one that Ma and Pa used to talk about: an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, and a head for a head, and a life for a life: That’s a good religion.
And doesn’t nobody resent that kind of religion being taught but a wolf, who intends to make you his meal.
The slavemaster took Tom and dressed him well, and fed him well, and even gave him a little education — a little education; gave him a long coat and a top hat and made all the other slaves look up to him.
Then he used Tom to control them.
The same strategy that was used in those days is used today, by the same white man.
He takes a Negro, a so-called Negro, and make him prominent, build him up, publicize him, make him a celebrity.

Let's Do The Math.

At the end of my last post, I asked you to do the math on who is pulling the strings to what is happening in this country - for the time being, Perak in particular.
In Sri Lanka, the on-going and continuous fighting between the Sri Lankan military and the LTTE (Tamil Tigers) is nearing climax with the LTTE practically surrounded within an area of 50km. They are holding about 200,000 civilians as hostages and demanding a cease-fire.
Enter the US. The US military is considering military intervention calling it 'humanitarian' act to evacuate the civilian population. The US Pacific Command (PACOM) has drawn up a plan to land its Marine Expeditionary Force in the conflict zone. According to former US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Jeffrey Lansteadas reported at WSWS.org, 'Lunstead called for the US "to play an important role in shaping Sri Lanka's future".
In other words, it's the US who decides what the future of Sri Lanka is going to be based on US interest. And the US interest? 'the US has its own strategic agenda in Sri Lanka. The Bush administration backed Rajapakse's "war on terrorism" as a means of ending a conflict that was a destabilising influence in South Asia, particularly in India, which is becoming Washington's most important strategic and economic partner in the region.'
What is the US strategic interest in South East Asia/Malaysia? Keep your eyes and your ears open.

What's Happening In Perak - Nothing Special.
Friends kept asking me on the going-on in Perak.
I'm apolitical, never have and never will join any political party. Come voting time, I've always voted for whom I felt was good looking and sincere looking than the other.
To me all politicians are the same not only in Malaysia but the world over. Look at Mr. Barack 'Change' Obama. What he promised and what he intends to deliver after winning are two different things. Just look at our politicians. The word 'politics' is a combination of 'poly' meaning many in Greek and 'ticks' i.e. the tiny critters found in our hair. So politicians are people in constant itch either itching to get rich or itching for someone else's wife/husband/drivers/PA's, etc.
So, back to Perak and the shenanigans being played by all and sundry. A friend at a meeting today asked me the same question as if I am a party to any of the 'in' people involved. Might be he thought that being a veteran, I should be politically savvy.
Since he was waiting for a reply from me, I told him to read what had happened to Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and now Pakistan. These countries have been and continue to be in constant chaos and upheaval because somebody have an agenda. I do not see any different to what is happening here.
Someone far away is pulling the string and some of us here are jumping.
Who? You do the math.

The Half-Breeds & The Indian Nation
Shows were mostly the chapter type (a precursor of the series ) such as Captain America, Buffalo Bill, Roy Rogers, Randolf Scott, etc. Favorites were the cowboy and Indian movies.
The white immigrants, the settlers and the US cavalry always won. The finale was always the bugler-led US cavalry on full gallop coming to the rescue of the white settlers in their wagon train encycled by the savage half-naked Indians. The Indians in the movies differed only by the tribes involved, Sioux in one and Kiowa, Apache, Comanche, Utes, etc. in the next.
Leading the US Cavalry or the long knives as the Indians called them, were the Indian Scouts who were good at tracking. These scouts were either renegade Indians or half-breeds who have an axe to grind against their tribes.
How we children cheered when the cavalry came to the rescue. The excitement was further enhanced with a thundering soundtrack.
Little did I realise this type of attack (rescue to some) would be played two three centuries later here in Malaysia. We have the half-breeds and renegade Malays scouting for and leading the later-day immigrant cavalry attacking the Malays.
The Red Indians are now living in reservations surviving on blanket and vase sales to tourists.
And the Malays here? Happy to be Mat Rempit and voting in Akademi Fantasia now and their future is almost certain as that of the American Indians.

Saya bukan anak kelahiran Perak. Saya kelahiran Pulau Pinang sama saperti DYMM Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Bainun.
Daulat Tuanku!
